IPHONE, UNLOCKED? HACKED?

Well, that's the case. This news has been on the main page of Yahoo! for the past few days. This guys is just UBERLY cool! If only I could do something so spectacular during this week of holiday that I have. It would be a great way to spend my holidays too!

SAN FRANCISCO - The teenage hacker who managed to unlock the iPhone so that it
can be used with cellular networks other than AT&T will be trading his
reworked gadget for a new car.
George Hotz, of Glen Rock, N.J., said he had
reached the deal with CertiCell, a Louisville, Ky.-based mobile phone repair
company.
Hotz posted on his blog that he traded his modified iPhone for "a
sweet Nissan 350Z and 3 8GB iPhones."

This is just so so cool! Unlock an iPhone, and get a Nissal Fairlady? A Z33 I suppose? Since its a 350Z. Nothing beats this man! If only I knew how to. =P Oh and 3 more iPhones too!

A SPANKING Nissan Fairlady 350Z

Not 1, not 2 but 3 FREAKING iPhones!

"This has been a great end to a great summer," Hotz wrote.
The 17-year-old
Hotz said he will be sending the three new iPhones to the three online
collaborators who helped him divorce Apple Inc's popular product from AT&T's
network. The job took 500 hours, or about 8 hours a day since the iPhone's June
29 launch.

Well, he spent 500 hours trying to unlock the Apple iPhone which in USA is locked to AT&T as their service provider. Worth it huh? Work 500 hours, for a Nissan Fairlady. I'm willing to! HIRE ME!!! =P

Hotz made the deal with Terry Daidone, co-founder of CertiCell, who also
promised the teen a paid consulting job.
"We do not have any plans on the
table right now to commercialize Mr. Hotz' discovery," Daidone said in a
statement.

And in the end also getting a consulting job? Wah HOW NICE? What more do you want? A car, 3 iPhones and a Job! Not to forget, the FAME! This fella is so lucky!

Mr. George "The Hacker" Hotz with his hacked iPhone

Read the original article and more about it from Yahoo! here.

Well, personally, I think the iPhone is just a hype. The main reason I do not favor the iPhone is its OS. The iPhone runs on an independent OS by Apple. Therefore, being much of a PDA user I am, I love to explore 3rd party applications. In this case, I don't think there are any for the iPhone as of yet.

The other reason would be because of its price. To me, its way overpriced! Rumoured to be selling at RM4000+ here in Malaysia, I would rather get a Nokia E90 for that price.

Well, that's my case on the iPhone. For GAYA purposes, YES, definitely! But for practicality, NAH, not good enough!

I rest my case! =P

HARD ROCK CAFE, KL & MR HO'S FINE FOOD

This is entry is much about food, food and MORE food!

Celebrated my cousin, Dhiren's birthday on the 19th at Hard Rock Cafe. All of us were there for dinner. This was my 2nd time there. My first was umpteen years back which I don't recall when.

So anyway, ordered myself some BBQ ribs. Sorry I cant remember what is it called but it was GOOD! I swear by medium-well for all my steaks. If its too cooked i.e. well, it will be a bit too hard. But if its too rare, then it will be a bit bloody for my liking. Then again, I will still eat whether is it rare or well or whatever. =P

Desserts wise, we ordered to share. We ordered a Hot Chocolate Fudge with Ice Cream and an Apple Crumble sorta thing. It was utterly GOOD! Especially the Chocolate one. *yummylicious*

Here are some pics ripped from Geri's. Enjoy!

My strawberry *something* drink

The main course, BBQ ribs. It was HUGE! I had a problems finishing it.

Beloved family members

Me trying to enjoy my ribs!

This is a picture of us, grandchildren with our beloved grandma! WE LOVE YOU! Btw, Dhiren is in RED.

Here comes the dessert!

Hot Choc Fudge with Ice Cream!

Apple Crumble with Ice Cream as well.

As we were having dinner, watching the MU match, Uncle Darma decided to bless all of us kids with a t-shirt from the Hard Rock Merchandise Shop. I picked the Classic Leather Trim Tee.

This is how the t-shirt looks like. The Hard Rock Cafe words are of leather

Then last Sunday night, we had dinner in Mr Ho's Fine Foods in Mid Valley. This is in conjunction with my Uncle Darma's birthday.

What a scrumptious meal we had. It was basically all the BABI(pigs) in the world you can find.

If you don't know, Mr Ho's Fine Foods sells mostly pork stuffs. From hams to sausages to ribs to bacons to roasted pork(siew yuk) to many many other pork-y stuffs.

I arrived late together with Wei Shin and Angie. We ordered a Mixed Grill set, a plate of roasted pork, an extra plate of BBQ ribs and then a plate of Carbonara myself. In the end, I ended up eating only the meat and ta pau-ed my Carbonara. There were just too much pork, so I feasted on it with my best PORK-mate, Wei Shin.

I'm sorry I don't have any pictures on this. This is because, my digi cam was out of battery and my handphone transformed.

It transformed from THIS to.......

THIS!

After dinner, we headed to Haagen Daaz for dessert. Muahahaha.... What a *SINFUL* night!?!?! Had a scoop of Macadamia Nuts ice cream. I couldn't even finish it. Too much for that night.

Anyway, it was 2 MARVELLOUS nights thanks to 2 SCRUMPTIOUS meals!

Till then, take care, God bless! =P

4 express busses CRASH a month, 2 FATAL ones.

Click on the picture to read about the bus and its accident.

Click HERE for the fourth accident.

If you have been reading the newspapers for the pass days(weeks) back, you've probably read these. Sad story. Triple sigh . . .

Any foreigners reading this? Can your country beat this record? This achievement is not to be proud of. It involves lives of INNOCENT people. Sigh... Who should we blame it on?

IMHO, yes the drivers are at fault. But if you ask me, we should all the more blame the authorities. They are the ones in charge of all these matters. If a driver is not fit to drive, by all means stop him from driving.

This drivers, all they want to is to make a living, feed their family members. They will somehow try all ways so that they can hold on to their jobs and earn some money.

Let's keep this short and sweet. No matter what, I still think the authorities are at fault. They should be the ones enforcing the rules and not just take matters easily.

OK I shall stop here. There are many things that cannot be said here. As this is public. Well, those things that you know is what I know as well. So let's just keep it to ourselves.

TAG-GED, MERDEKA!

I've been tagged, by Yatz..

Here are the rules:

1. Each blogger must post these rules first.
2. Each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they've tagged, and to read your blog.

8 Facts/Habits of Me, Myself and I

1. I was born in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. Hence, I'm proud of my "05" in my IC! :P

2. But I have been in KL/PJ more than half my life. 15 years to be exact.

3. Sleeping is my 2nd nature. I can sleep anywhere, anytime, anyhow I want.

4. I spent my entire schooling life in ALL BOYS schools. BORING I know. Ok la, 1 year in co-ed school during Form 1 that's the famous SMK Dato Lokman, KL.

5. I sleep with the Fan and the Air-Con on. Because I'm too lazy to get up and on the fan when it gets too cold at night. :P

6. Night life started when I was 15. That was the year I learnt to drive as well.

7. I love cars more than anything else. Anything about any car. OK la.. I confess, God is #1.

8. I have been in tertiary education for 6 years now. And I'm still trying to get a Degree. I did A Levels, I have a Diploma in Telecommunications & Computer Engineering, and I can't wait to complete my degree.

That's 8 facts/habits about myself.

Who am I supposed to tag now? I guess I'll not TAG anyone. If you feel ling revealing your habits, just copy and paster this into your BLOG.

I NEED HELP!!

Hey Guys! I am in need of some HELP here. See, I have decided to sell off my handphone, my O2 Atom.

The problem is, I cannot make up my mind on what to get next. Sigh... As of now, there are 2 choices. Its either Nokia N93 or Sony Ericsson K800i. Here's the comparison between the 2.

Nokia N93

Sony Ericsson K800i

Please help me decide. Comment on the 2 phones and tell me the reason you chose them.

Actually, I am more towards the N93 for its camera. But they both have a 3.2MP camera. And I like the Brown colored K800i. So how now brown cow???

Sigh.. Am undecisive now. If there are any other phones you would want to suggest, please do so and also tell me why! Budget's below RM1500.

Thanks! :P

MOVIES GALORE, SCHMOOZE-D!

Like the title go, been in a movies galore these 2 days. Well, watched Transformers on Wednesday night. I know, I'm SLOW! What to do? I couldnt find any time for it for the past 2 months or so since the movie came out. None the less, I enjoyed it much! I'd been refraining myself from any dialogues regarding the movie ever since it came out. Everytime ppl talk about it, I'll politely walk away(YEAH RIGHT!). Hehehehe... A great movie indeed. Though the movie characters look much much different from the classis ones. Its still good! Bumble Bee is cool! So is the Mustang police car! Oh yah! Not to forget, Megan Fox is HAWT!!

Isnt she OH-SO-HOT~!@#$%^&*??

Then yesterday, I watched 2 movies! Watched Rush Hour 3 in the afternoon. To me, its just so-so. The jokes are funny but the whole movie is similar to Rush Hour 1 and Rush Hour 2. The story line is the same. The jokes are similar. Overall, a nice movie to watch, chill and laugh about. No regrets!

Watched Disturbia after that. Quite an OK movie as well. Its a thriller. Not much actions until almost at the end of the show. Same actor as Sam Witwicky in Transformers, with a CUN chic as his girl again(he's damn LUCKY!). This time its Sarah Roemer. She could be the reason youi want to watch the movie. Hehehehe..

Another !@#$%^&*( HOT thang!*ouch*

FUNERALS SUCK BIG TIME!

Sigh... So many things to blog about but so little time. Thought of many interesting topics but there's just no time to compile it. Exams are coming soon. That sucks big time too! Final Project due next week. Not started yet. MARVELLOUS! *prays for multiplication of time and more wisdom*

As the topic goes, will be attending a funeral tomoro morning. ALready had 2 memorial services for the past 2 nights. One of dad's cousin passed on in a FREAK bike accident. He was very close to us especially us kids. I'm sure all of us felt it. He always made a point to buy us something for our birthdays when we were younger. Nowadays, he just sends us SMS wishes. To me, its the thought that counts. Its amazing that he remembers all our birthdays. Thinking of that, my birthday is coming and it had hit me real hard. I tear every time I think about it. He has a heart for us the kids. *prays that Ah Thong koko will be rejoicing in the heavens right now*

Sigh.. What a tragedy. No one expected this. If you read the chinese papers, there's one accident that happened in Seremban yesterday. It involves a bike and a trailer. Yes, that's him. Can anyone find the link for me? I think its in almost all of the chinese papers. Unfortunately I dont read chinese papers. Just send me the link if you found it.

Triple sigh.. I guess that's about it for now. I just wanted to let go of something here. Thanks for reading/listening.

Till then, take care and God bless!

p.s. Pray for peace and strength in the family.
