I shall write about my new found pride and joy! My knight in shining armour!
Ever since I was young, I am very fond of dogs. Dogs are such lovable creatures. Dont you agree with me?
But then, no matter how much I persuaded my mum, she wouldnt allow me to have one at home(dad's always cool about it though). Well, anywhere I go with dogs, I would indulge in them. No matter big ones or smaller ones. They are just so so adorable!
Until recently, my uncle told me that his friend is giving up 2 of their dogs as they have 4 at home and his wife is fed up of taking care of 4 dogs alone. Therefore, 2 of it will be given up for adoption.
That very day, we travelled to his house to take a look at the dog. The 2 dogs are American Cocker Spaniels! They were oh so cute with the long ears and golden brown fur. Anyone would have fallen in love with them.
There, the owner hurried us to take the dogs home. He is also actually fed up of his wife nagging everyday about the dogs. He said, "If we dont take them home today, the 2 dogs will be given to other people."
Yours truly, who never had dogs before wasnt actually ready to have one at home all of a sudden. Time is needed to prepare the place and reading up! Hence, we took the dog home but instead, we left him at a pet shop for washing up and grooming + 1 night boarding. This happened a few days before Chinese New Year!
Fast forward 2 months, I now call myself a proud owner of my Junior boy. He is quite obedient(at times). Very loving, does not bark and most of all, a very very friendly dog to everyone! even strangers!
How can you not love them when they always snuggle up to you? when they always wait for you to come home? when they joyfully pounce on you after a long tired day at work/school?
As we all know, mansion king, Datuk Zakaria "Jiak Ka Liao" Deros has passed away! The former Port Klang assemblyman passed away this 2.30am this morning due to a heart attack!
After much controversies end last year, our friend decided to give up his place this MGE2008 to give way to his daughter-in-law. We all know that it is just a gimmick, he will still be in power somehow. Let's just say his DIL would just be his puppet. Unfortunately, things didnt go his way. He left "home" today. RIP Datuk Zakaria!
We all know, he built a mansion in Klang without any permit from the state govt. This mansion has 16 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, a 2-hole golf lawn, gazebos, a swimming pool, 2 rooms for maids and much more. All these built on a 43000sqft piece of land which was actually meant for developing low-cost houses for the poor.
Besides that, he also operated a Satay Restaurant on a government land which also has no licence for trading and he has not been paying assesment for the past 12 years.
Tell me, does he deserve this? You say!

Lim Guan Eng has been sworn in as the 5th Penang State Chief Minister today. Kudos Lim Jr.!
As reported, his 1st move was to waive all summons issued by the local state council on howkers and parking offenders! That's what a good leader is about.
I believe, he is not doing this so much to please the rakyat but I think he will be coming out with new laws and regulations regarding these 2 matters.
Secondly, YB Lim has announced that he is going to the Parliament and ask for money(RM940 Million) from Petronas to build the 2nd Penang Bridge! Hopefully, his request will be granted by the Federal Govt. This is a good move which in turn will definitely help the tourism industry in that state.
This move will also ease the traffic moving in and out of the island. The next General Election, Penangites living away from Penang would be much happier to go home and vote for their "favourite" government.
As for me, living in Selangor, studying in KL, I hope that the new Selangor CM will also draft out measures that will help ease the burden of us in this state. I.e. Toll!, insufficient parking places and etc.

2008 polls - interesting facts Mar 10, 08 6:20pm
Barisan Nasional only gained about 51 percent of the popular vote from the 7.9 million ballots cast on Saturday.
However, it took 63 percent of the seats contested - or 140 of 222 seats in Parliament.
Interestingly, its peninsula-wide popular vote was only 49.79 percent, which effectively means that the opposition received the majority vote in this part of the country.
However, when converted to parliamentary seats, BN has 85 of the constituencies in the peninsula, while the opposition bagged 80.
Almost 40 percent of the BN's seats are in Sabah and Sarawak - 55 out of 140.
In 2004, BN won about 64 percent of the popular vote nationwide and 92 percent of the 219 parliamentary seats on offer then.
As the dust settles on the 12th general election, we highlight a number of quirky facts and figures.
Election trivia
The youngest candidate was PKR’s Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, who is 26. He defeated Seri Setia incumbent Seripa Noli Syed Hussin.
The oldest candidate was grandma Maimun Yusuf, 89, who contested in the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat. She lost her deposit.
56 also-rans from opposition parties and independent candidates lost their deposits after failing to secure one-eighth of the votes cast.
The largest majority was won by DAP’s Teresa Kokagainst BN’s Carol Chew, by 36,492 votes in the Seputeh parliamentary seat in Kuala Lumpur.
The smallest majority was just 14 votes for BN’s Hamdi Abu Bakar who beat Abu Bakar Haji Hussain of PAS in the Pengkalan Baharu state seat in Perak.
Four pivotal players in the Lingam tape scandal also won: Loh Gwo Burne(who recorded the footage), Wee Choo Keong (lawyer who represented VK Lingam’s brother during the inquiry) and R Sivarasa and Sim Tze Tzin (listed as witnesses but eventually not called). All four are from PKR.
There will be two ‘lone rangers’ in Parliament: Zulhasnan Rafique, the sole BN survivor in Kuala Lumpur’s 11 parliamentary seats - he took Setiawangsa; and DAP’s Chong Chieng Jen who won Bandar Kuching in Sarawak - the remaining 30 parliamentary seats went to BN.
The biggest number of candidates was in the Sukau state seat, Sabah, where eight candidates ran, including five Independents.
Debutant politicians
Prominent blogger Jeff Ooi- whose campaign was done online and funds were raised through his website - won the Jelutong parliamentary seat in Penang for DAP.
Other bloggers are Tony Pua(DAP, Petaling Jaya Utara parliamentary seat), Elizabeth Wong(PKR, Bukit Lanjan state seat) and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad(PKR, Seri Setia state seat). *Also in the bloggers' list were Hannah Yeoh (DAP, Subang State Seat)& Teo Nie Ching (DAP, Serdang Parliament Seat)
Civil society activists who succeeded were Charles Santiago (DAP, water-privatisation issues), Edward Lee(DAP, local community), Elizabeth Wong and R Sivarasa (PKR, human rights).

Prior to the elections, Barisan Nasional had kept on telling people to show their dissatisfaction through the ballot box. Now they have really shown it.

It is not that they love PKR or PAS more that they voted against me.
The Chinese showed their resentment because of the economic backlash they often complained about. So, PAS and PKR should not be overly proud of their win (in Kedah).
The people may have to pay a price for their decision.
Out of 222 Parliamentary Seats, majority went to Barisan Nasional with 140 seats and 82 seats went to the Opposition otherwise known as the Barisan Alternatif.
It is then expected to see some unlawful actions to happen. As we all know, it was a shocking win for the BA(Barisan Alternatif).
This is BN's biggest and worst defeat ever since Malaysia gain her independence. It was worse than the 1969 then Malaya General Election. This was the year that the May 13th incident happened, which also started the racial issues then.
This was also the 1st time the BN's was denied of their 2/3rd majority. I guess this time, the rakyat(people) are fed up of the previous federal government and they want someone to speak up for them. This would not have happened if they had properly managed our country since the last General Election in 2004. Well, it is time to CHANGE!
There were a few shocking defeats. Among them, Dato Sharizat, the incumbent MP for Lembah Pantai. She lost her precious seat to Nurul Izzah, daughter of Anwar Ibrahim.
Some say, it was because of her father backing her. I say simply, the people had enough! They need someone to speak and definitely, Anwar can do a better job here. At least he does not have to be afraid of what he is going to say as he only has to please the people and not the people above him.
Next up was none other than Datuk Seri Samy Vellu, also an incumbent in Sungai Siput. He lost his seat to Dr Jeyakumar of PKR.
This would also be the same case of voicing out but there's also another factor to this. We all know HINDRAF. Hopefully, the newly elected Indian MPs will be able to stand for the Indian community in Malaysia. With this, he will also loose his Works Minister post. All I have to say is, enough is enough Datuk Seri. You also have had enough I suppose.
Next up, we have Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon, the ex-Chief Minister of Penang.
He gave up his CM post not long ago, to try to go up to the parliment as he now wants to be in the federal government instead of the Penang state government. Unfortunately, he was shown the exit by Dr P. Ramasamy of PKR. Besides, the component party he was heading also suffered a loud shock when they lost all the seat they contested. Its Gerakan we are talking about. He was the acting party president and now he has offered to step down that post of his.
