Hennessy Artistry 2008 - Journey into Artistry (I)

Arrived pretty early that night only to realise that the rest were still having dinner in Cheras. WTF?

Anyway,

The first ever event party that I have been to(yea call me Jakun!), none the less, it has already set quite high a standard in terms of events. Well, according to some people who had been to the last few Hennessy Artistry(s), they said this was the AWESOMEst! Well, to me, it WAS awesome.

With the superb artist line up, FREE FLOW BOOZE, great people and not to forget a VIP pass to it. All these are just some other plus points. If you were there, you would obviously agree with me or maybe you have others to add. Do comment ok? Thanks!

And If you were not there, let me bring you through a journey to Hennessy Artistry 2008 happening at Bukit Kiara Indoor Arena on the 19th of July 2008.

As you walk up the slope towards the arena, this is what you will see.


Then you will head right and walk through a "maze"(sadly I do not have a picture of this). At the end of the maze you will see this.


After you have got your tickets, you will see this big place where polaroids are snapped of you against a HUGE Hennessy Artistry backdrop for FREE(sadly I do not have a picture of this either. Just imagine ok?)!

As you walk in the entrance to Bukit Kiara Indoor Arena and if so happen you feel like turning back to see what's behind you, this is what you will see.


Walking further in, at this point, there is no turning back. The 1st thing that you will notice would definitely be the crowd, like this.


Then as you look around you, you will definitely notice these.

Hennessy Artistry 2008 - Press Conference

Today a whole bunch of us were at KL Hilton to attend the Official Press Conference for the said event.

Well, there's nothing much about this press conference except the fact that we were 3 meters away from them? I believe in a press con is the closest you can get to anybody. Nothing much for us bloggers to do there but to attend, get a feel of what a press conference is like and also to meet the stars. Unlike the real media people where they start to bombard questions to the artists and taking out their huge cameras and go on a crazy snapping frenzy.

The whole event kicked offed with a speech by Mr. Frederic Noyere(left), Managing Director of Riche Monde, Malaysia.

The emcees Belinda C and her male counterpart cum translator mentioned of a secret that is going to be unveiled during this press con. Well, this also marks the LAUNCH of the latest Hennessy cocktail called Hennessy Kuala Lumpur.

Here we have Mr. Sam Jeveons, Hennessy's cocktail specialist showcasing a live demo of making Hennessy Kuala Lumpur. A refreshing concoction of lime juice, pineapple juice and Hennessy VSOP cognac. According to him, this is the drink made of tropical flavors which reflects the refreshing blend of cultures in our city, Kuala Lumpur.



Thereafter was the Q&A session with all the artists and then, all guests & media representatives were treated to a freshly mixed Hennessy Kuala Lumpur cocktail. To me, the cocktail is as refreshing as it sounds and so, I helped myself to a few more helpings.

Well, its sorta like a concert cum rave(indoor) kinda thing. Of course, courtesy of Hennessy, its FREE booze all night long(I know you are waiting for this)!

Throughout the night, there will be DJs, VJs and artists performing.

VJ Callen


Local made-in-Malaysia DJ cum VJ. Spins happening house tunes and creates great visuals that rocks the house! He has been spinning for the past few Artistries.

Pop Shuvit
